Business card, hangtags and lookbook for SCHAAF’s SS/AW 2012 collection.

Layout, retouch and visual concepts for the SS/AW 2012 collection of Munich based fashion label SCHAAF. The collection Don’t Tell The World That We Know is based on five protagonists in a fictitious apocalyptical setting: the soldier, the escapee, the dandy, the saint, and the mutant each of them represented by an iconic symbol throughout the booklet.
Always in order to maintain the label’s handcrafted spirit we also redesigned her business cards and hangtags.

Slabserif typeface inspired by M.C. Escher’s perspective works and monolothic ancient inscriptions.

Necklace made from aged brass.

Found inspiration for this piece of jewellery in a 2000AD special edition graphic novel called Glimmer Rats which I read years ago. Since then the idea of creating this necklace never left my mind.
The Ear is made from massive brass and was aged by nature itself hanging from a tree during rain, snow and frost for about two weeks.

Degree completion work (final exam) I did together with two of my school colleagues, Judith Silbereisen and Linus Gläßel. Leb oder Stirb has been awarded by the Art Directors Club in 2011.

On about 70 pages the reader is suggested some tasks and things she/he should have been done until her/his final day. All tasks are illustrated and with a few lines of text to explain what abilities or tools one needs to attempt the tasks and what there is to expect afterwords.
Although all the suggestions are meant to be humorous we often touched deep on philosophy.

Fashion booklet with a concept based on how humanity disbelieves its surroundings and the scepticism when it comes to questions between faith, afterlife and the hard facts of reality.

The idea is based on Darren Aronofsky’s motion picture Pi and also quotes from life fathoming movies like Ghost In The Shell, Donnie Darko, etc. mixed with self written phrases.
